I'm David Lawrence Gibbins, in my fifties, a husband, father, mechanic, painter & decorator and a photographer. I have spent most of my life in the south east of England, but moved to Bristol in 2008 following my marriage. I'm enjoying discovering a whole new part of the country.

My initial influence was the architectural photography of my Father who started teaching me the basics of photography and composition more than fifty years ago.

Colour, shape and form catch my eye and, hopefully, I capture these in images that please the eye of the viewer. They are 'My View'. I love to make use of both Black & White and Colour in my photographs, both having their own visual impact.

After more than thirty years working in the Motor Trade and having a passion for all things Alfa Romeo you can hardly be surprised that another great passion of mine is cars. Driving cars, being a spectator at Motor Sports events, particularly the Le Mans 24 hour race and, of course, photographing them.

Adding travel, landscape, abstract, still life, candid portraits and street to my repertoire gives a broad range of images to present to my viewers.
